“Farmers Branch is centrally located and poised to become the hub and home office for many businesses as new development moves from a vision to a reality over the next few years. Light rail transportation, new housing developments and a very proactive city organization poise Farmers Branch as the new center of the Metroplex and we are ready.”

The goal of the Traffic Division is to provide for the safe and efficient movement of people and goods throughout the City of Farmers Branch.

Farmers Branch is home to approximately 25,000 residents. In addition, over 85,000 people work within Farmers Branch. The City is bordered on the east by the Dallas North Tollway, on the south by Interstate Highway 635, and to the west, Interstate Highway 35E runs through the City. All of these factors combine for some very interesting and challenging traffic opportunities.

The Traffic Division is directed by the City Traffic Engineer, David I. Davis, P.E., and consists of a staff of technicians who plan and maintain the City's traffic infrastructure.
