The City of Farmers Branch is committed to the promotion of quality development and expansion of its existing business base. The City Council desires to improve economic development incentives and to establish various programs to ensure the City remains competitive in the marketplace, encourages increases and retention of quality jobs, encorages revenue streams from commercial, industrial and manufacturing businesses that maintain or increase the taxable values of their business personal property. The following incentives available from the City of Farmers Branch are determined on a case-by-case basis taking into consideration the scale and scope of the project and subject to the approval of the Farmers Branch City Council:

Tax Increment Financing Districts

The City of Farmers Branch has established two Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts to help finance infrastructure in these key areas. TIF #1 is located west of Interstate 35E. TIF #2 is located east of I-35E near the Farmers Branch DART station. Refer to this link farmersbranch.dfwmaps.com to view a map of each TIF. Check the box beside Economic Development, then select TIF 1 and 2 to highlight the sites on the interactive map.
