The Police Department responds to all alarms in the City of Farmers Branch.

It is a violation of law, punishable by a fine of up to $200.00 for each day a violation exists, to operate an Alarm System without being permitted by the City. Permits are issued through the Alarm Permit Section of the Farmers Branch Police Department.

In an effort to reduce the number of false alarms recorded each year, the City of Farmers Branch has contracted with ATB Services in Colorado Springs, CO., to provide alarm registration, tracking and billing services to the citizens of Farmers Branch.

When there is a reduction in false alarms that Farmers Branch Police respond to on a daily basis, additional time is freed up for police officers to engage in proactive patrols throughout the City.
