
Opened in March 2010, the all new Farmers Branch Skate Park is quickly becoming a favorite with skaters of all ages and skill levels. Located at 14050 Heartside Place, it is immediately south of the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center, and is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Please call 972.247.4607 for any updates or changes.
The Skate Park features:
- Two skate benches
- Three grind rails
- Two bank to ledge and a grind box ledge combos
- A 5' tall by 8' wide quarter pipe with a grind rail
- A 2' tall pyramid with an attached 3' bank to stairs component with railings
- A 4' tall, 12' wide, 22' long mini half pipe with a grind rail and a bank hip
As always, our patrons safety and well-being are very important. So for your protection and enjoyment, kindly follow the guidelines listed below:
- - Protective gear (helmets, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards) is strongly recommended.
- - Permitted equipment includes skateboards, skates, razors and BMX freestyle bikes. Other equipment mest be approved in writing by the Director of Parks and Recreation before use.
- - BMX pegs must be removed or covered.
- - Inspect the park before using. For your safety, please stay off when wet, icy or other hazardous conditions exist.
- - Look before you go...don't drop in on others...wait your turn.
- - No ramps, jumps, etc. from outside sources are allowed.
- - Check bad behaviors at the gate including foul language, glass containers, tobacco and alcohol (Chapter 50 of Farmers Branch Code of Ordinance).
- - No dogs are allowed in the skate park.
- - Skating outside the provided area is prohibited.
- - What will close your park? Damages, abuse of equipment, graffiti and litter.
- - Please report any acts of vandalism and take care of your park so it can remain open.
- - Let Parks and Recreation Staff know if there is a problem by calling 972.247.4607.
- - Report suspicious activity to the Farmers Branch Police Department at 972.484.3620.
- - In an emergency, call 9-1-1.
