“The recreational and educational opportunities in Farmers Branch have really kept me active. I joined the Community Recreation Center on day one and all of our facilities are top-notch but all have that hometown, family-friendly ambiance. Farmers Branch truly feeds the mind, body and soul.”

Online Library Card Application

Library cards are available for free to all Farmers Branch residents and to residents of cities that do not charge Farmers Branch residents for use of their libraries. Non-resident cards are available to persons in non-reciprocating cities at a cost of $25 each and are valid for one year from date of purchase.

Online Library card applications are processed daily, and your new card will be mailed to you within 24 hours (not including Sundays and holidays). You can also pick up your card at the Library the next day. If you pick up your card, you will need to show proof of identity and residence. If you are purchasing a non-resident card, this fee must be paid before you can check out items on your card.

When first using their card, applicants under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must give signed permission for the card holder to check out videos or use the Internet.
