life by becoming a docent!
History of Volunteering
The Farmers Branch Historical Park opened in 1986
to preserve and share our local heritage. The Park contains
several historic structures which illustrate various aspects of
life in Farmers Branch and north Texas from 1840 through 1940.
Since the establishment of the Park, our docents have enabled us
to successfully present a variety of programs to children and
adults, to acquire and preserve historic artifacts and structures,
and to research and record local history. Docents are an
essential part of the Historical Park!
