When is my Green Grabber day?

What types of items does the Green Grabber pick up?
The Green Grabber is a large truck with a green claw that picks up brush and/or bulky materials. The Green Grabber cannot pick up glass, ceramic and other breakable items, sheetrock or plywood, cardboard boxes, construction and remodeling debris, small amounts of rock, concrete and static material. The City does not pick up automotive parts. If the Green Grabber did not pickup the materials that have been set out, the reason could include (with suggested remedy): vehicle parked in the way (move vehicle); mixed load (separate and restack); stacked too close to a tree, utility pole or fence (move); tree limbs are too large (cut into four to eight foot lengths and stack); fencing panels are too large (more than two feet in width and eight feet in length); carpet rolls are too large (maximum size of two feet wide and up to 12 feet long).
The Solid Waste Division, working with area churches, has placed recycling containers in various locations throughout the City. View a list of recycling locations below. Acceptable recycling materials include: aluminum, clear glass (without lids), newspaper, Type 2 plastic, and two-liter (Type 1) plastic soft-drink bottles.
