How can I recycle?

The Public Works Department has placed paper-only recycling containers in various locations around the City. Recycling boxes are available at some area churches.

What type of recycling does the City currently accept?

The recycling program accepts aluminum, clear glass, newspaper, Type 2 plastic, and two-liter (Type 1) plastic soft drink bottles. To determine the type of plastic, locate the symbol usually on the bottom of the item. The City cannot accept paperboard, cardboard or egg cartons. The City accepts food and beverage glasses only; no colored glass or window panes or pyrex please. The City accepts aluminum cans only; no aluminum foil or foil pans, please. The City accepts plastic containers only; no plastic bags, styrofoam or egg cartons, please.
