The Division of Planning has a diversified staff, with university degrees in such wide-ranging disciplines as Architecture, City and Regional Planning, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, and Liberal Arts.

Schools from which staff members have degrees or certificates from cover a wide range. Included among them are Austin College, Southern Methodist University, University of Texas at Arlington, Texas A & M University, Texas State University, University of Oklahoma, and Louisiana Tech University.

 Experience

The number of years staff members have experience in planning-related jobs ranges from 10 to 21 years. 

Staff members have worked in planning or a related field in many different locations. They include Bowling Green (Kentucky), Midwest City (Oklahoma), Dallas, Arlington (UTA), Fort Worth, College Station, Bryan, and Houston (Texas). 

 Professional Certifications and Registrations
One-hundred percent of Planning staff is licensed by the American Institute of Certified Planners. 
Professional Organizations
Planning staff holds memberships in such organizations as the American Planning Association; American Institute of Certified Planners; Texas Chapter of American Planning Association; City Planners Association of Texas; Congress of New Urbanism; and Urban Land Institute.
