Volunteers are the most important resource for any Senior
Center. We know that much of the success of the Farmers Branch
Senior Center is a result of our wonderful volunteers. If you
would like to be a part of this team by giving a few hours back to
the place you enjoy, please stop by and talk to us. We'd love to
have you involved. We need volunteers in the following areas:

Kitchen and Special Events: If you are ready to work hard and
have fun this is the place to be. Kitchen and Special event
volunteers help in everything from setting up chairs and tables
for special events to serving food and clean up following the
event.
Computer Education Program: We need
volunteers for the following positions in our computer education
program.
Excel Instructor: This person must have a good
understanding of the Microsoft Excel program. A willingness to
develop class handouts and to work with staff on developing a
class text is a must. Courses are taught in a classroom setting
with a student limit of 5. The instructor should feel comfortable
speaking in front of a small.
Registration coordinator: Intermediate
computer ability as well as organizational skills are helpful for
this position. This person would oversee registration duties
helping to ensure students are placed in the correct class for
their ability level.
Computer Education volunteers are invaluable to the success of
our students. Volunteers must have an intermediate computer skill
level as well as be willing to give a minimum of two hours per
week.
Class Instructors: Do you have a hobby or interest you are
willing to Share? Would you like to be the reason someone smiled
today? Take that special talent of yours and let us help you
develop it into a class or workshop you can share with others.
