Human Resources

The responsibilities of the Human Resources Department are to develop, implement, and administer human resource programs and services to meet the City's needs. 

Services provided include: recruiting and testing individuals to fill vacancies; policy and procedure development; maintaining personnel files; managing the City's compensation and benefit plans; fostering a positive employee relations environment; developing and implementing city-wide training and development programs; and, assuring compliance with all federal, state, and city regulations.

The Risk Management Section is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of loss control, claims management, workers' compensation, and property and casualty insurance programs.

The Training Section is responsible for orienting new employees and increasing and improving the skills of employees.  The goal of the Training Section is to promote and create a high performance organization that provides effective leadership, decision making, and problem solving direction to its citizens, customers, and employees.
