Listserver Mailing Information (fbinfo@farmersbranch.info)
The
City mailing list group offers a central e-mail address for
broadcasting messages about the City to a large number of group
members. Messages sent to the list server address (imailsrv@fblst.farmersbranch.info)
will not be automatically distributed to any individual who is
currently subscribed.
Please
note that when you "reply" to any message posted to the
list, it will not be sent to all subscribers to the list, it will
just be delivered to the listserver moderator.
Administrative
messages such as requests to subscribe or unsubscribe are sent to:
(imailsrv@fblst.farmersbranch.info)

1.
Subscribing To The List
In
order to subscribe, send a command in an e-mail message to (imailsrv@fblst.farmersbranch.info)
to be added the list, so you can begin receiving mailings.
To
receive list mail at the address from which you're sending your
message, simply send the command "subscribe" followed by
the list's name and the name you by which you wish to be addressed
(John Smith, rather than smithj) in the mail message body (the
message must be on one line, commands separated by one space
between the first and second and second and third commands - names
may contain a space):
subscribe
name-of-group-list name-of-user
(for
example: subscribe citynews John Smith)
Upon
subscribing, you will automatically receive an introductory
message, containing list policies and features. Save this message
for future reference; it will also contain exact directions for
unsubscribing. If you lose the intro mail and would like another
copy of the policies, send this message to (imailsrv@fblst.farmersbranch.info).
Again, the message must be on one line, commands separated by one
space between the first and second and second and third commands -
names may contain a space.

Unsubscribing From Mailing Lists
Your
original intro message contains the command which should be used
to remove your address from the list. Simply send the command
"unsubscribe" followed by the list name to (imailsrv@fblst.farmersbranch.info)

Sending A Message
To
send a message to the listserver subscribers - this feature is
temporary unavailable.

contact the list moderator, send mail to (fbinfo@farmersbranch.info).
Notes:
Please
do not put commands on the subject line, it may be left blank, and
do not use a signature block. Either of these may result in error
messages.
An
archive of messages previously sent to the City Listserver is
currently unavailable.
