Kite Networks, the Wi-Fi provider for the city of Farmers Branch, has ceased network and support operations.

The Farmers Branch system was installed and operated by Kite Networks as a private enterprise. While the City of Farmers Branch was supportive of the venture, there were no City funds involved and the City has no connection to the system. Kite Networks provided no notice that they were ceasing support on the system.

City officials are investigating what options are available for use of the Wi-Fi hardware that is currently installed in the City. In the meantime, as a reference, Farmers Branch customers interested in a different high-speed Internet provider may contact Time-Warner Cable at 972-742-5892  or AT&T Broadband Automated Self Service at 1-800-ATT-2020 (1-800-288-2020).
